Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Required Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Key responsibility:
- Develop piping designs and layouts for process plants, storage terminals, and specialty chemical plants.
- Proficiency in design software for 3D modeling tools like CAD, E3D
- Familiarity with piping codes and standards
- Prepare piping material specifications and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI).
- Work with clients to adhere to project specifications.
- Generate and review piping isometrics, P&IDs, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Create bill of materials (BOM) and support procurement processes.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, structural, and instrumentation engineers.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, fabricators, and site teams for technical clarifications and issue resolutions.
- Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Address on-site piping issues and suggest practical solutions.
- Optimize piping routes to ensure cost-effectiveness and ease of maintenance.

- Experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, Chemical industry.
- Broad knowledge of piping codes and standards like ASME B 31.3, B 31.1, B 31.4 B 31.8 API, NFPA, IBR etc.
- Recruit, develop, and manage staff within the discipline.
- Ensure successful delivery of engineering projects while supporting project lead engineers.
- Share accountability for developing work scopes, reviewing man-hours, execution plans, and conducting peer reviews.
- Lead and oversee piping team activities, including assigning responsibilities and monitoring team performance.
- Act as the primary liaison for client interactions to ensure satisfaction and alignment of project goals.
- Lead and actively participate in:
- Project acquisition meetings.
