Project Scope
The scope comprises Greenfield Detail engineering for Piping, Stress Analysis of a large-scale Petroleum products storage and handling terminal with twenty-three 23 No. of tanks (dome roof and IFR) with pump house, Piping systems, Electrical & Instrument system, Fire protection system and Utility infrastructure.
The scope includes detailed piping engineering, comprehensive 3D modelling, and pipe stress analysis for a petroleum product storage terminal designed for handling Fuel Oil, Gasoline, Methanol, Ethanol, and similar hydrocarbon products. The engineering execution is focused on developing a safe, efficient, and fully coordinated terminal layout for storage and transfer operations.
The facility comprises 23 storage tanks with Fixed Cone Roof and Dome Roof with Internal Floating Roof (IFR) configurations, with tank diameters ranging from 12 m to 28 m. The terminal infrastructure also includes transfer pump systems, road tanker loading gantry facilities, utility systems, and associated plant and non-plant buildings required for continuous terminal operation.
Engineering activities include intelligent 3D plant modelling, piping routing, piping layout preparation, isometric development, support detailing, and stress analysis of critical piping systems to ensure proper flexibility, safe load distribution, and reliable operation under various operating conditions. The engineering is developed with emphasis on operational accessibility, routing efficiency, maintainability, and smooth integration between process and utility systems.
The scope also covers complete Electrical & Instrumentation infrastructure including power distribution systems, cable routing coordination, field instrumentation integration, lighting systems, earthing, and control system interfacing required for safe and reliable terminal operation.
The intelligent 3D model is utilized for interdisciplinary coordination, clash detection, constructability review, and layout optimization across piping, structural, mechanical, and utility systems. All engineering deliverables are developed in accordance with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications to support efficient construction, commissioning, and long-term terminal reliability.
